Praveen Cherian BSc (Hons) PGCE Advanced Physiotherapy,MCSP PH70483 Praveen qualified in India (Manipal Academy of Higher Education) in 2000 completed post graduate certification in Advanced Physiotherapy from Hertfordshire University. He has worked in the NHS, Private Sector and as a Lecturer at Essex University teaching musculoskeletal physiotherapy, before joining the specialist private hospital team in Cambridge in 2011. This enabled him to build close relations with orthopaedic consultants, musculoskeletal radiologists and pain specialists. During his time at the hospital, Praveen specialised in treating complex musculoskeletal shoulder conditions working as an Advanced Level Physiotherapist (ALP), alongside shoulder and pain consultants, requesting scans and case managing complex musculoskeletal rehabilitation. Currently works in the NHS East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust and private clinics, as an Upper Limb Specialist Physiotherapist undertaking Injections therapy with imaging. His skills and expertise lie in biomechanical assessments, movement/postural analysis, complex pain patterns and functional rehabilitation programs. He is an expert in treating spinal/postural issues, post-surgical (upper and lower limb) rehabilitation, using lots of hands-on techniques, as well as exercises and self-advice. Praveen is a very active person himself, playing field hockey in his spare time and he is also involved with ADRA, a relief agency that works for local and international humanitarian relief.
