Ruth Johnson qualified over 20 years ago and worked in several large teaching NHS Trusts, gaining experience in a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurological and respiratory conditions before venturing into private practice to specialise in musculoskeletal and sports injuries. Along the way she trained in acupuncture, manipulation and is continuing her studies to post-graduate level working towards a Masters. Over the last 16 years, Ruth has built up her knowledge and expertise of sports injuries, working with several rugby clubs and providing physiotherapy to elite wheelchair athletes and basketball players. She has worked for the British Paralympic Team since 1994 at national and international levels including World Athletics Championships and Paralympic Games. She is hoping to continue with this commitment to the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
