Remote Consultations
During this difficult period (and particularly with Covid-19 precautions in place) The Arm Clinic are able to offer remote consultations, but only to patients physically located within the U.K. If you would prefer this to a face-to-face clinic consultation, please let us know.
The remote consultations will be carried out by the same people who would carry out a face-to-face consultation, so the level of clinical expertise is exactly the same.
However, we will not be able to perform a physical examination or any investigations or interventions at the same time. Therefore, our ability to make a diagnosis and treatment plan may be limited.
We aim to offer the same level of confidentiality standards as face-to-face consultations. However, it will be your responsibility to ensure that your privacy and confidentiality is preserved where you are, for example by making sure that you cannot be overheard while having the remote consultation.
A successful remote consultation will depend on our ability to communicate clearly with each other, so please be prepared to spend more time than usual describing your physical condition in detail. Please also check that you will have sufficient broadband speed or phone signal to enable the consultation to proceed without disruption.
You will need to get pre-authorisation from your health insurer for a ‘Remote Consultation’ before the consultation takes place.
