Joe Askew is a specialist shoulder and elbow physiotherapist and extended scope practitioner (ESP). He works both within the NHS and private sector. Joe qualified from the University of the West of England, Bristol, with a degree in Physiotherapy in 2002. He has completed a Post Graduate Certificate in musculoskeletal physiotherapy at Bradford University and is due to begin his MSc in Trauma and Orthopaedics at Salford university in early 2017. He is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, the Health and Care Professions Council and the prestigious British Elbow and Shoulder Society. He is the physiotherapy representative for the North and West Yorkshire Shoulder and Elbow Society (NWYSES). He is a trained injection therapist. ? Joe has specialised in musculoskeletal physiotherapy for the past 12 years. He has a longstanding interest in upper limb (shoulder and elbow) problems and has worked as a specialist physiotherapist in this area for the past five years. He receives referrals from Orthopaedic consultants from across the Yorkshire region and beyond for complex shoulder and elbow problems. He works very closely with local consultants and is able to collaborate with them to optimise your shoulder or elbow treatment.
