Melanie has over 30 years experience, with postgraduate qualifications in applied and Practical physiotherapy in Sports from University College London (1996), and a MSc in Manipulative Therapy in 2001 at Coventry University. Melanie has worked within the NHS framework and in America, Florida. On returning from America in 1995, she moved into private practice. Throughout her career, Melanie has been involved in various sports medicine roles. Providing physiotherapy services for Dewsbury RFC, World Student Games (1995) and World figure skating championship (1995). She worked with the Great Britain Swimming Team from 1995-1999, was the governing body physiotherapist for the Great Britain Target Shooting Team 2001-2010. These roles took her to Manchester 2002, Melbourne 2006 & Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, and the Athens Olympic Games 2004 & London Olympics 2012. Melanie is an experienced triathlete. She has represented Great Britain age group teams at multiple World and European championships; in distances ranging from Sprint to Full distance. Melanie is a clinical mentor for post-graduate physiotherapists from universities around the country undertaking MSc degrees in physiotherapy related specialities.
